Treatment Options and Rehabilitation

There are dozens of types of treatments. By integrating multiple techniques your healing accelerates. Your physical therapist will combine treatments in your customized plan of care that complement each other to create the best possible outcome for you.

Manual Therapy

Refers to hands-on treatment of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints. This may be superficial or deep and is designed to mobilize connective tissue and muscles to decrease pain and inflammation, release myofascia, increase circulation and trigger point release, increasing flexibility and decreasing sensitivity. Manual therapy is the cornerstone of our treatment philosophy. The human touch is an essential ingredient to our evaluation, plan of care and rehabilitation protocols.

Therapeutic Exercises

This can be a multitude of exercises, stretching or general rehabilitation. Therapeutic exercises can include range of motion, resistive exercises such as weight training, postural correction exercises and exercises that incorporate coordination and balance training.
